Ceramic Tiles of Italy Pavilon

For the first time the Italian Trade Commission and Confindustria Ceramica, the trade association, will exhibit as part of the i Saloni Worldwide contingency at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). This premier US trade show for modern design is one of the most important events in the industry. It will take place from May 16-19, 2009 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York.

The Ceramic Tiles of Italy pavilion has been designed by the internationally acclaimed Italian architect Michele De Lucchi. As a world-renowned interior designer, architect and industrial designer, De Lucchi has made his mark across all design disciplines. From his signature lighting peaces to his international commercial installations, he incorporates color and playful forms into his work. His vision for the Ceramic Tiles of Italy booth at ICFF, the impressive 35000-squre foot exhibit, is no exception as his concept gives the radical approach to exhibit design.

The booth will have two reception points and the center of the pavilion will have an open space to evoke the feeling of a traditional Italian piazza. 13 individual exhibits will be set up along the perimeter to recreate the environment of an Italian marketplace similar to the busting product markets found in old-world cities like Bologna and Rome.
